Addiction Research is dedicated to advancing the understanding of addiction and its impact on individuals and society. Our journal serves as a platform for researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and educators to share innovative research, evidence-based practices, and insightful commentary on all aspects of addiction.
Aims

- Substance Use Disorders: Research on the epidemiology, etiology, prevention, and treatment of substance use disorders, including but not limited to alcohol, tobacco, opioids, stimulants, and other psychoactive substances.
- Behavioral Addictions: Studies on non-substance-related addictive behaviors such as gambling, gaming, internet use, and other compulsive behaviors.
- Neuroscience of Addiction: Insights into the neural mechanisms underlying addiction, including brain imaging studies, neurobiological research, and genetic and epigenetic factors.
- Psychosocial Factors: Examination of the social, cultural, and psychological factors that contribute to addiction, including studies on family dynamics, peer influences, and socioeconomic status.
- Intervention and Treatment: Evaluation of prevention strategies, treatment modalities, and rehabilitation programs, including pharmacological, behavioral, and psychosocial interventions.
